Hey! I've been pretty sick the past few days. I was just reading the blog and saw that there was an essay and was wondering if there was a prompt or if it was based on a poem. I know I need to turn in my Gatsby assignment on Monday as well as take the vocab quiz from today. Is there anything else I could do that would catch me up a little?

1997. Novels and plays often include scenes of weddings, funerals, parties, and other social occasions. Such scenes may reveal the values of the characters and the society in which they live. Select a novel or play that includes such a scene and, in a focused essay, discuss the contribution the scene makes to the meaning of the work as a whole. You may choose a work from the list below or another novel or play of literary merit.
Use The Great Gatsby as the novel.
Hmmm...I can't remember what else we did besides take the quiz and talk about Gatsby!
